The Morning After Round-Up: Predators 4, Sharks 3 (OT)

The Nashville Predators showed their true resilience on Saturday night in San Jose when they gave up three straight goals to San Jose to go down by two goals and then came back with three straight of their own in the final period and overtime to pick up a statement-type win over a very strong Sharks team, on the road.

David Legwand continued his best ever start with a pair of goals including the OT game-winner. Even though he allowed three goals, Pekka Rinne was in top form against a powerful Sharks offense and was the team MVP as always.

Things did not look good for the Preds in the opening period as they were under a 19-shot Shark barrage and rarely had the puck in the San Jose end of the ice. The coaching staff obviously made changes and turned the team in the right direction as they outshot the Sharks 28-19 after the opening period.

The Predators have collected five points out of six in three games on this road trip and nine of ten points in the last five games and appear to have righted their ship which was on the rocks at the start of the season. Their record stands at 7-4-2, good for fifth place, three points out of the Western Conference lead.

You can't overlook the big game for Logan Couture for the Sharks who set up their first two goals and scored the third.

Here is our game story from last night's thrilling overtime win.
