The Morning After Round-Up: Predators 2, Kings 1

The Predators had little time to celebrate last night's 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings as they had to make the quick flight to Raleigh to play the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.

The team will have Andrei Kostitsyn and Paul Gaustad in the lineup for the first time against the Canes tonight and will need to play a solid game against the rejuvenated Carolina squad who has been playing solid hockey recently.

Anders Lindback (2-6-0, 2.70, .897) will get his first start since February 2 tonight. He has played sparingly this season so he would like to snap his five-game losing streak that dates back to December 3.

Since the Preds and Canes last faced each other on January 7, Carolina has gone 9-4-6 and have played well under head coach Kirk Muller.

Nashville has pulled within four points of St. Louis and Detroit but will only have one additional game this week to be point collectors, playing at Florida on Saturday.

At the end of the big trade deadline day yesterday, here is what Paul Gaustad had to say about becoming a Predator.

Here is our game story from last night. Make the jump for the full round-up of everything from the game...
