Fox Sports to televise at least 68 Predators games

In a joint announcement from the Nashville Predators and Fox Sports TN, it was revealed that 68 Predators games are scheduled to be televised over the Preds TV network this season. All will be available in HD.

Additionally, NBC Sports Network will televise three games so that 40 of 41 road games will be televised as well as 31 home games. Here is the link to the complete schedule.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS AND FOX SPORTS TENNESSEE ANNOUNCE 2012-13 TELEVISION SCHEDULE
-Sixty eight Preds games scheduled to be televised on FOX Sports Networks-

Nashville, Tenn. (September 13, 2012) – The National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the team’s exclusive regional television partner FOX Sports Tennessee (FSTN) announced today that the network will televise a minimum of 68 Nashville Predators’ regular-season games during the 2012-13 NHL season, tying the franchise record set in 2011-12. The Nashville Predators TV schedule, along with the NHL’s national package, will see 40 road games (39 on FSTN/SPSO, one on NBCSN) and 31 home contests (29 FSTN/SPSO, two NBCSN) televised regionally. Sixty five of the Predators 71 televised games will air on FOX Sports Tennessee; three games will be televised on FOX Sports Tennessee’s sister network SportSouth (SPSO) and three will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network (NBCSN).

“FOX continues to be a tremendous partner and they demonstrate their commitment every year,” Predators Executive Vice President Chris Parker said. “With back-to-back seasons of 68 televised games and ancillary programming like Predators Snapshot, FOX Sports remains the gold standard in providing the most in-depth coverage for Preds fans in the region.”

“Thanks to our partners at Fox Sports Tennessee and SportSouth, with support from national exposure on the NBC Sports Network, fans will have unprecedented access to the Predators on TV this season,” Predators Senior Director of Broadcasting Bob Kohl said. “In addition to a franchise-high 71 televised games, fans will also enjoy in-depth coverage provided by FOX’s shoulder programming and unparalleled commentary from our experienced team of broadcasters.”

Coverage begins with the Predators’ regular-season opener on Oct. 12 against the Detroit Red Wings (6:30 p.m. CT). Other highlights from the 2012-13 telecast schedule include a Valentine’s Day tilt against the Phoenix Coyotes on Feb. 14, six games apiece against the Central Division-rival Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings and four games versus the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings (three on FSTN/SPSO, one on NBCSN). Additionally, the final 26 regular-season games (Feb. 18- April 13) will also be televised (24 on FSTN/SPSO, two on NBC Sports).

The FOX Sports Tennessee broadcast duo of play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and analyst Terry Crisp enter their 15th season calling Predators’ action.  In addition to game telecasts, Weber and Crisp will co-host LEXUS Predators LIVE, an extended post-game coverage show after every game on FOX Sports Tennessee. Predators players and personnel will also be featured in FOX Sports Tennessee original programs such as Predators Snapshot. Returning for his fifth season is Mark Howard, rinkside reporter for all Predators home games. Joining Pete Weber and Terry Crisp on the broadcast, Howard provides player and coach interviews during pre- and post-game coverage as well as intermissions.

Fans should also take note that O’Charley’s continues to serve as the official away game viewing-party headquarters for the 2012-13 season; all televised Nashville Predators road games will be broadcast at each Middle Tennessee O’Charley’s location.
