Paint your face, wear your jersey to work, show your spirit – Preds Pride day set for tomorrow

-Preds continue successful initiative of Going Gold to Get The Red Out-

Nashville, Tenn. (April 12, 2012) – After an electrifying Game One win over the Detroit Red Wings last night, fan support is at a premium for tomorrow night’s highly anticipated sold out Game Two. In preparation for tomorrow night’s contest, the team is once again calling on all residents of Smashville to show their support by donning their favorite Predswear tomorrow for Preds Pride Day.

Jerseys, hats, t-shirts, face paint, playoff beards and Pekka-ing are all acceptable forms of showing your spirit for Preds Pride Day. Nothing is off limits in Smashville.

Additionally, the Predators are offering a hard-to-beat deal for all fans to help the arena “Go Gold” and “Get the Red Out.” Through the first round of the playoffs, any fan – and especially Detroit Red Wings fans that want to Go Gold – can come into the Nashville Predators Pro Shop and save 20 percent on a new Preds jersey (we recommend the Gold ones!). Better yet, any Red Wings fan that is truly ready to convert, and will turn in their Wings jersey, can save 50 percent on a new Predators Gold jersey. All Wings jerseys that are collected will be cleaned and sent back to a Detroit area youth charity.

“The crowd at last night’s victory was one of the best I’ve seen in all of professional sports,” Executive Vice President Chris Parker said. “They were loud, proud and 100 percent behind their Nashville Predators, helping give the team the boost they needed to win. Now we want to see those same fans showing their Preds Pride everywhere tomorrow – whether at work, at home or at the game. So Go Gold and keep the Red Out! ”

Game Two will broadcast from Bridgestone Arena on 102.5 FM The Game and SportSouth (Comcast 1676 HD, 26 SD) tomorrow at a special start time of 6:30 p.m. The playoff plaza party will kick off at 3:30 p.m. on the Bridgestone Arena plaza with live music, games, the smash car and much more. Though tomorrow’s game is sold out, the team will likely release approximately 100 tickets tomorrow afternoon.
