Alexander Sulzer Recalled from Milwaukee

As Barry Trotz indicated lat night, Alexander Sulzer was recalled due to the "upper body injury" to Cody Franson.


PREDATORS RECALL DEFENSEMAN ALEXANDER SULZER FROM MILWAUKEE

Nashville, Tenn. (February 3, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Alexander Sulzer (al-ehx-AN-duhr SUHLT-suhr) from Milwaukee (AHL).

Sulzer, 25 (5/30/84), has a pair of assists in 13 games for the Predators in 2009-10. Selected to Germany’s Olympic Team for the 2010 Games in Vancouver later this month, the 6-1, 204-pound blueliner also has 19 points (4g-15a) in 19 games at the AHL level this season, including six points (2g-4a) during a seven-game stint with the club from Jan. 23-Feb. 2.

The Predators continue a four-game homestand tomorrow night at 7 p.m. when they host the Colorado Avalanche. Nashville rounds out the pre-Olympic Break portion of its home schedule on Saturday when it hosts the Western Conference-leading San Jose Sharks in a game that is expected to see 14 Olympians take the ice.
