NASHVILLE PREDATORS RECALL FORWARD NICK SPALING FROM MILWAUKEE
Nashville, Tenn. (March 23, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Nick Spaling from Milwaukee (AHL).
Spaling, 21 (9/19/88), has played 21 games for the Predators during his rookie NHL season (one previous recall, Dec. 15-Jan. 30), posting three assists while averaging 10:42 of ice time. Nashville’s third choice, 58th overall (second round) in the 2007 Entry Draft is also averaging 1:40 of shorthanded ice time in 2009-10, fifth-best among rookie forwards. The Palmerston, Ont., native has 17 points (7g-10a) in 48 games for the Admirals in 2009-10.
The Predators – winners of six consecutive games – play their seventh of 10 home games during the month of March tonight when the Dallas Stars come to town (7 p.m.). The three-game homestand continues Thursday against the Pacific Division-leading Phoenix Coyotes and Saturday vs. the two-time defending Western Conference Champion Detroit Red Wings. Tickets to these games, and all other regular season contests, are on sale and can be purchased by logging onto nashvillepredators.com.
