With the 2 p.m. Central deadline looming for teams to be under the salary cap, it appears that the Predators are down to 23 players barring any last minute surprises in the next couple of hours.
Alexander Sulzer passed through waivers and was not assigned to Milwaukee. No other Predators were placed on waivers today.
That leaves the following 23 players still in the Predators camp as they enjoy their day off.

IS Nashville going to send Sulzer to Milwaukee or is he going to be traded?
It appears that he will stay with the team for now as the seventh D-Man. If he is sent to Milwaukee he will have to pass through waivers so the Preds have not gone that route. Since he has a one-way contract and does have more experience than some of the younger prospects, it was an easy decision to keep him here for now while the others can develop their game by playing every night. I would be surprised if he was with the Preds after his contract expires July 1.
