In a very odd juxtaposition, hockey met up with a monumental moment in United States history on Sunday night as Washington Capital fans and a few major hockey journalists made their way from the Verizon Center, where the Caps had lost to Tampa 3-2 in overtime, to the White House where a huge celebration was taking place.
