Today's NHL Trophy announcement is for today is the Vezina Trophy which is is an annual award given to "the goalkeeper adjudged to be the best at this position." The voting is done by the general managers of all NHL clubs.
The top three finalists this year include Pekka Rinne of your Nashville Predators, Tim Thomas of Boston, and Roberto Luongo of Vancouver.
Others that were considered to be in the running included Henrik Lundqvist of the Rangers, Carey Price of Montreal, and Marc-Andre Fleury from the Pens.
The final presentation to the winner will be made at the NHL Awards Show at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino and Resort on June 22.
