Todd Bertuzzi, who had not had a regular season fighting major since March 26, 2009 when he fought Rostislav Klesla, squared off twice with Shane O'Brien during the Wings 4-3 overtime win over Nashville.
The first scuffle was at 4:34 in the opening period. The second was at 2:43 in the second six seconds after the Predators had taken a 3-0 lead that seemed breath life back into the Wings.
After the game O'Brien said, "He's a big guy, 6'4" or what ever. He's been in the league a long time. He knows what he's doing. He's strong. You don't win every fight you are in, but when a guy jumps you, there's a little bit of pride involved."
"I just thought I'd go back at him and I thought being up 3-0 we had everything in tact there. I still think that the two goals they got to get them going were kind of unlucky. For whatever reason, we don't get too many bounces here."
Detroit eventually won the game 4-3 in overtime.
