The Nashville Predators returned Linus Klasen to the Milwaukee Admirals today in a move that should come as no surprise since he had been a healthy scratch in the last three games. Hopefully, this is a positive sign that Martin Erat or Steve Sullivan will return next week and that Nick Spaling may be back against San Jose.

Nashville, Tenn. (January 7, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Linus Klasen (LEEH-nuhs KLAH-sehn) to Milwaukee.
Klasen, 24 (2/19/86), appeared in three games during his most recent recall. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 30 at Detroit and now has no points in four career games while averaging 12:53. At the time of his recall, the Stockholm, Sweden native was tied for sixth in the American Hockey League in goals (15) and game-winning goals (3), in addition to ranking fourth in the League in power-play markers (7, tie). In his first North American professional season the 5-8, 178-pound winger paces the Admirals in points with 27 (15g-12a) in 29 games.
The Predators will attempt to complete their second-ever three-game sweep of California tomorrow night at 7 p.m. when they clash with the San Jose Sharks (FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.9 The Buzz). The Predators return to Bridgestone Arena ice on Tuesday when they host the Minnesota Wild (7 p.m. CT, 102.9 The Buzz). Tuesday’s meeting against the Wild is also a Daily’s Super Tuesday night. Daily's Super Tuesday packages include two upper-level tickets for $42 or two lower-level tickets for $92. There will also be special concession stands where all items are just $2, as well as a reduced $2 ticket service fee.

Predators Recall Klasen Prior to Match With Blues
The Nashville Predators recalled Linus Klasen before tonight's game against the Blues in St. Louis. This is Klasen's second recall to the Preds and is related to a rash of injuries suffered in the last game before Christmas.
Marty Erat and Steve Sullivan were both injured in the Preds' last game against Ottawa on Thursday night. Barry Trotz speculated that David Legwand would return on Tuesday night against the Dallas Stars at Bridgestone Arena.

Linus Klasen's Stay In Nashville Was A Short One
I'm not sure if Linus Klasen had time for a cup of coffee in his brief NHL stay with the Predators, but he has been returned to Milwaukee after 6:22 minutes of play on Saturday night against the Wings.
I feel sure he will return as needed this season. Hopefully, this is a good sign that others are getting healthy and will be able to play on Wednesday against the Coyotes.

Predators Recall AHL Goal Leader Linus Klasen
The Nashville Predators recalled Linus Klasen from Milwaukee this morning. The news was first leaked by a Swedish language newspaper and has now been confirmed by the Predators.
Klasen leads the AHL in goals with seven and was named the AHL Player of the week on Monday.
It is unclear where he will fit in when the Preds play Detroit on Saturday but it is rare for a player to be called up and not be inserted into the lineup. With his small physical size, there is little need for him on a grinder line so you would think adjustments will be made on one of the three scoring oriented lines.
Klasen was injured in the first rookie game of the year on a blind-side hit and was unable to participate in the pre-season camp so adjustments to new team-mates will have to be done on the fly.
