The Morning After: Predators 2, Hurricanes 1 (OT)

The Nashville Predators finished off the preseason with a near perfect 7-1 record with the only blemish coming in a loss in second game of the doubleheader with the Florida Panthers on the third day of on ice activity.

There is very little to criticize and plenty to praise in what has transpired so far. Barry Trotz and David Poile are quietly confident that they have the pieces in place to do some damage in the incredibly balanced Western Conference.

The roster is now down to 25 healthy players (and Mike Fisher and Francis Bouillon) with the final cuts expected at some point on Monday.
