Predators Reduce Roster by Three: Bourque, Mueller, and Sloan to Milwaukee

The Nashville Predators are moving closer to their opening day roster as they sent three players to Milwaukee, leaving the roster at 27, which includes Mike Fisher and Frankie Bouillon who will not be available to start the season.

If the Preds carry the full 23 men to open the season, there would likely be only one more defenseman and a forward left to be sent down. With few games in the first couple of weeks of the season, they could carry 22 players.

There is also a chance that they could pick up an additional player on the waiver wire or pull of a trade like last year's move at the end of camp that brought Shane O'Brien to the team.

It is probable that the final cuts will come on Monday. Click here to see the current roster.
