Zack Stortini Officially Assigned to Milwaukee

We had heard earlier this morning that Zack Stortini had cleared waivers and now the Nashville Predators have announced that he has been assigned to Milwaukee. The move was made necessarily by the Predators picking up Brian McGrattan on waivers on Tuesday.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS ASSIGN ZACK STORTINI TO MILWAUKEE


Nashville, Tenn. (October 12, 2011) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that forward Zack Stortini has cleared waivers and been assigned to Milwaukee (AHL).

Stortini, 26 (9/11/85), made his Predators debut in Saturday night’s 4-2 victory at St. Louis, logging 4:53 and recording seven penalty minutes.

The Nashville Predators kick off their home season this Thursday, Oct. 13 when they take on the Phoenix Coyotes (7 p.m. on SportSouth – Comcast channel 284 HD, 102.5 The Game) at Bridgestone Arena. The fun begins at 4 p.m. when all Nashville Predators players, coaches and broadcasters walk the gold carpet with select season ticketholders. After the carpet walk, a plaza party begins will take place up until game time. All those in attendance at Thursday’s game will receive a free opening night t-shirt courtesy of Nissan.
