More Proof That Twitter People Exist in Real Life

It was incredibly disappointing to have to miss the Predator's first home playoff game and huge 4-1 win due to an unavoidable business trip to New Jersey, but the loss was made much more palatable by getting to meet three Twitter friends that I have never seen face-to-face.

Originally, the trip was set for last week when I could have attended the 100th NHLtweetup. When the date changed, Dani Muccio (aka @dani3boyz), the Islanders Social Media Director rounded up a couple of other friends and traveled all the way to Newark for dinner, conversation and a little hockey watching.

It was a real pleasure to meet Dani, Chris Wassel (@TheProgramBTR) of The Program, and Carlos Figueiredo (@speakoftheDevs) of SpeakingOfTheDevils. Thanks to all three for going way out of their way to make a memorable evening.
