POTG Weekend Headlines, News and Links

Tonight is our first recommended event for Preds fans looking for interesting things to do in the offseason. The Nashville RollerGirls have a home bout at Municipal Auditorium tonight at 5:30 that will be the closest thing to a a Preds game for skating excitement that you will see until next season.

Sharks 4  Canucks 3...

The San Jose Sharks jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night and then had to battle in the final minutes of the game to keep the Nucks at bay in route to a 3-2 win for their first win in the Western Conference finals.

The game was marred by an ongoing series of penalties that seemed to keep someone on the power play for the better part of the final two periods.

Interesting that the Braves game was bigger news than the Thrashers leaving at the AJC.
