One of the funnier things to come out of Friday's 1-0 Vancouver win over Boston was the video of Zdeno Chara giving Max Lapierre a little love tap in the first period after the whistle had blown. Lapierre acted like he had been hammered as he crouched over skating back to the bench.
ESPN's Scott Burnside asked Lapierre about it in the postgame, "Max, looked like you were mortally wounded when you had that encounter with Zdeno Chara. I wondered how you were able to carry on after that. Describe the emotion of being one win away from the Stanley Cup."
Lapierre was either oblivious to the reference or blew him off saying, "I think we know it's going to be the biggest game of our life in Boston, and Boston is going to be ready. We're going to have to be ready for a challenge."
Lapierre got the last laugh in the game as he had the only goal of the game that gave Vancouver a 3-2 series lead with a chance to hoist the Stanly Cup on Monday in Boston.
