The Morning After Round-Up: Predators 4, Avalanche 2

Pekka Rinne moved into first place in the all time season's win total with last night's 4-2 win over Colorado. It was a very workmanlike game that moved the Predators to 85 points, only four behind Detroit, who will be at the Bridgestone on Saturday night.

The Predators appear to be fairly well locked in to the 4-5 match in the first round against Detroit or Sr. Louis. This would be a brutal match with either opponent. I think that a better match-up would be with the Wings, especially if the Preds could move into fourth.

However, the division is far from set with the Blues heading out on a seven game road trip starting on Sunday. The Wings and Preds are both headed to the west coast so anything could happen if any of the thre teams slip.

On another front, Alexander Radulov's KHL schedule has ended so there is plenty of speculation about a return to the Predators. If he were to return, he would join an already crowed roster that has five solid forward lines and four defensive pairings.

I'm sure if he came back to Smashville Barry Trotz could find a place to put him.

Here is our game story from last night.  Make the jump for the full round-up of everything from the game...
