Ben Guite Reassigned to Milwaukee

The Predators announced tonight that Ben Guite had been returned to Milwaukee of the AHL after playing two games this week due to injuries to Predator players.

With Barry Trotz indicating that Jason Arnott would remain out for two more games, Guite's return to the Ads would probably indicate that Joel Ward will return for Monday night's game with Vancouver.

PREDATORS REASSIGN FORWARD BEN GUITE TO MILWAUKEE

Nashville, Tenn. (January 10, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Ben Guite to Milwaukee (AHL).

Guite, 30 (7/17/78), played two games with the Predators during his most recent recall – Thursday vs. Carolina and Saturday vs. Anaheim. He is pointless in six games with Nashville this season, averaging 8:29. The 6-1, 211-pound center has 16 points (5g-11a) in 32 games for the Admirals, including eight points (3g-5a) in his last six outings at the AHL level.

The Predators kick-off a three-game Western Canada swing tomorrow night when they take on the Vancouver Canucks at GM Place (9:30 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Tennessee). After stops in Edmonton (Tuesday) and Calgary (Friday), the Predators return home to play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs for just the third time in franchise history next Monday – Martin Luther King Day – at 7 p.m. Tickets to this, and all other regular season contests are now on sale and can be purchased by logging onto nashvillepredators.com.
