Cal O'Reilly Sent Back to Milwaukee

After his best stint this season with the Predators this season having three assists in four games, Cal O'Reilly will return to the Milwaukee Admirals in time to play with the Ads against Manitoba tonight. I can't imagine what that travel schedule looked like.

Here is the official release from the Predators...

NASHVILLE PREDATORS REASSIGN CAL O’REILLY TO MILWAUKEE

Nashville, Tenn. (January 16, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned center Cal O’Reilly to Milwaukee (AHL). O’Reilly was recalled on Jan. 8 under emergency conditions for forward Jason Arnott, so must be sent back to the Admirals as soon as Arnott is ready to return to the lineup.

O’Reilly, 23 (9/30/86), posted three assists in four games during his most recent stint in the NHL, including his first career multi-point/assist performance on Tuesday at Edmonton. He played 15-plus minutes in three of the four games after doing so only twice in nine previous games in 2009-10. The Toronto, Ont., native has four assists in 13 games for Nashville this season. O’Reilly is scheduled to appear in his second consecutive 2010 AHL All-Star Classic on Monday and Tuesday in Portland, Maine after amassing 26 assists and 35 points in 31 games for Milwaukee this season.

Fresh off a three-game sweep of Western Canada’s three teams, the Predators return to Sommet Center ice on Monday night at 7 p.m. to host the Toronto Maple Leafs for only the third time in franchise history (FOX Sports Tennessee, WGFX-104.5 The Zone). Tickets to this game, and all other regular season contests, are now on sale and can be purchased by logging onto nashvillepredators.com. Tickets are also available by calling (615) 770-PUCK and at all Ticketmaster locations.
